Ag airctraft down South #2

Phoenix Aviation Fletcher FU24-954 ZK EMN (c/n 265) is parked up at the Alexandra Airport fuel pump before departing back to its Balclutha base. It had been doing a job East of Omakau. Pilot Bill O'Connor. Taken 30-08-2012. This Fletcher has spent its whole working life with Phoenix Aviation.
Above we see the Pacific Aerospace Cresco 08-600 ZK-OAS (c/n 033) of Otago AirSpread at Lake Hawea Station on on 21-09-2012. Piloted by Des Neill based at Taieri.
This aircraft was originally registered as ZK ROK2 with Tandem Skydive Wanaka Ltd from 29-08-2002 and based at Wanaka until purchased by Otago Airspread on 29-11-2010 and re-registered two days later.
Otago Airspread Fletcher FU24-950M ZK WLP (c/n 12) was purchased from Willow Air in March of 2011 and still sports their yellow colour scheme. This was originally ZK BHJ from May of 1955 and is nearly the oldest FU24 flying. (It must have about 28,000 flying hours by now !). Life began with Wanganui Aero Work followed by Rowley Aviation from 1981; Patchett and Williams from1993; Aerial Sowing Group from 1999 and then Willow Air from May of 2009. It was re-registered ZK-WLP on 30-07-2009.
Pilot is James Allan based in Balclutha. It is parked here at Mandeville waiting for the weather to break. Spreading seed. Photo taken on the 10-10-2012.
