Ohakea as seen by Andy Heap

The Boeing 777 in all its splendour.
More De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver shots.
Above and below is the other side of Hallett Griffin's ZK-AZB showing its Fieldair Ltd markings.
And another look at ZK-CKH painted up as NZ6001.

Above is the North American T-28C Trojan ZK-JGS c/n 226-140). It is a 1956 vintage aircraft and served with the US Navy with the serial 140563. It was withdrawn from use in 1970 and stored in Arizona until joining the US civil register. It came to NZ and was registered as ZK-JGS on 28-11-1989 for John Greenstreet. Ownership is now with the Trojan 63 syndicate. I believe it is marked up in its near authentic original markings it used as "583" with VA-122 Squadron.
Great Barrier Airlines had their Britten-Norman BN.2A Mk.111-2 Trislander ZK-LGF (c/n 1023) on the field. It spent its first six years in the UK and then headed off to the US until making its way to NZ in November of 2009.
Grumman TBM-3E Avenger VH-TBM (c/n 4015) back in NZ in all its radiant beauty. It was built about mid 1945 for the US Navy, followed by a career on the US and the UK civil scene.
It first first flew in NZ on 22-11-1992 with the Alpine Deer Group and was marked up as NZ2518 "Plonky". It rumbled off to OZ in May of 1999 for Randal McFarlane and has arrived back just in time for this Ohakea event.
