A couple of early Aerospatiale/Sud helicopters.

Lord Nelson has forwarded some more photographs from the bottom of his old shoe box.Two of these are seen below.
The Aerospatiale SA315B Lama ZK-HNW c/n 2527 was registered to Helicopters (NZ) Ltd of Nelson on 02-07-1978.
It operated all round NZ on spray and lift work.
Above it seen at Timaru on 06-11-1978.
Below it is seen at Taupo on 06-09-1979
Below is  the Lord Nelson pic of it at Taupo in April of 1982.
It was cancelled from the NZ register on 06-08-1984 and went off to Switzerland and became HB-XMC where it is still active. Check the link below for some Swiss pics.

The Aerospatiale SA319B Alouette 111 ZK-HNY c/n 2273 joined Helicopters (NZ) Ltd at Nelson from 17-11-1975.
It was useds on off shore oil exploration work.
These two photos are from the Lord Nelson collection and show her at Nelson Airport on an unrecorded date.
It had a tail rotor strike followed by a heavy landing on 16-08-1978 (don't know where) New Plymouth  and was cancelled on 12-09-1978.
It went off to the USA where it was rebuilt and became N1044N with Rocky Mountain Helicopters of Provo, Utah on 23-05-1979.
The next I heard it was in Italy as I-OYEN with Soc. Eli Alpi out of Issogne followed by a move to Switzerland to become HB-XJK with Heli TV SA from 30-04-1996 (The same Company as ZK-HNW above).  It crashed and was destroyed on 17-02-1999 at Ronco sopra la Chiesa.
