1967 vintage Fairchild Hiller FH-1100 ZK-HHW purred into Wellington 07 November having crossed Cook Strait from the Marlborough region. This classic has been a NZ resident since 1982 when it was imported by Winged Hunters and used for deer hunting primarily around the Westland region. It has since changed hands a number of times and most recently was registered to Brendon Leddy of Kumeu in August 2009 having been with Stewart Island Helicopters since December 2006. It is my understanding the Hiller remained in Southland after the change of ownership.
Only used for tourism and commercial work by Winged Hunters/Glacier Helicopters.
