There were three helicopters lurking in the visiting aircraft park.
The Eurocopter AS 350 B2 Ecureuil ZK-HYA3 (c/n 4641) is listed to Action Helicopters Ltd of Queenstown.
This was initially listed in NZ as ZK-HQG3 on 17-04-2009 to Helicopters Queenstown Ltd and then to Van Asch Wines Ltd from 27-06-2016.
Nearby was the Eurocopter AS 350 B2 Squirrel ZK-IER (c/n 3708) of Heliventures NZ Ltd.
A 2003 model it worked in the States in the EMS role until sold to NZ in early 2016.
The distinctive sound of the North American T-28C Trojan was demonstrated by ZK-JGS (c/n 226-140) as listed with Fine Particle Application Ltd of Inglewood.
Of late 1956 vintage (I think) it served with the US Navy until being withdrawn and stored in the Arizona drylands in 1970 It entered the US civil register in mid 1989 before moving quickly to NZ for registration to John Greenstreet on 28-11-1989.
It moved to the Trojan Syndicate of Auckland from 27-08-1990 and to Brett from 04-02-2015.
